These are a few of my favorite things!

I can actually say that I have a collection of little white pitchers now, with eight of them.  Most all are vintage, some just vintage look-a-likes.  But I love them all for their uniqueness.  I can't help myself, whenever I am out antiquing, thrift shopping or junking, I look for little white pictures. Truly one of my favorite things.
I can almost say I collect bird figurines, and these are the birds scattered around my home.
I have to admit, I love hearing songbirds sing, and love hearing the call of the Loon on a lake in Minnesota, but I am not crazy about all the mess the doves make in my yard, and am especially not a fan of all birds.  Particularly those of the Emu variety, but that is another post entirely.

The third thing on my favorite list today is;  shiny silver and different metals of decorative elements all together.  I am wild about mercury glass, copper, brass and shiny, "have to polish silver pieces."  I should have taken a picture of this large serving piece before I took all the tarnish off of it.  It was lots of scrubbing and buffing with various creams and liquids and it was pretty much blackened with tarnish.   Notice the pick mercury glass candlestick.  I had two, but one came broken, and I did not have the heart to throw it out, so I crushed it all up in a pillowcase with a hammer.  now it has a special place in one of my salt shakers.

I love your favorite things, Michele--they're just beautiful! I have the very same little fat birdie--the last one in your collection--it was my grandmother's.

I LOVE mercury glass--I have a bit of a collection of them, as well!

Hope you're doing well, my friend--it's been a crazy summer! I think I'm starting to calm down...a little bit!

Beautiful collections. That was a great idea to save that broken mercury glass candlestick.

Hello....I'm new to your blog, and LOVE all the vintage treasures you have collected.
I, too, seek out little white pitchers while shopping at antique markets, and shops.
My mercury glass collection started just last year...I can't seem to get enough.
We have six children, and fifteen grandies, with another on the way.
It's nice to meet a kindred spirit here in blogland.
Have a happy weekend.

That pictcher with the rocks in it is so unique and beautiful. I also love the pink candle stick holder. It would go perfect in my 'Paris' guest room. I enjoyed seeing some of your favorite things. Have a lovely weekend.

They are all lovely! Especially the white pitchers. Plus I am partial to the last little bird that looks like a Lladro♥

These are beautiful! I love the detail! I have to admit my newest obsession for this year has been small white pitchers and creamers. I'm going to need to figure out where I'm going to put them!

Hi there,

I used to collect small pitchers but have quit. I'd prefer to crochet or sew rather than dust. {giggle}

I'm a bird enthusiast....love feeding everyone that shows up and love to listen to their songs and calls.

Thanks so much for coming by to look at my studio post. I remembered yours when I clicked on it.

Come by anytime!

Hugs,
Stephanie Suzanne ♥
