On Wednesday of this past week, before we dropped our son off at The Mission Training Center. we went across the street to walk around the LDS Temple grounds. The Pink roses were absolutely amazing. I have never seen anything like those pink roses all in bloom before. And since pink roses are my favorite flowers, I just had to get lots of pictures. They just went on and on, and it smelled so wonderfully fragrant in the air.
I was thankful for those roses, as any distractions were appreciated, for what we were about to do! And that was to say good-bye for two years.
I am a Mother of 8, grandmother of almost 27 wonderful little people. Married to a wonderful man for 38 years. I am a published scrapbooker, have decorated wedding cakes, made wedding dresses, had a wedding business, taught baton twirling lessons to girls for almost 40 years, and love to decorate my home inexpensively. I have always been a 'make-due' sort of person. I love dishes, teacups, teapots, and have to be creating something everyday. I love to listen to beautiful uplifting music and watch Masterpiece Theatre and Jane Austen movies while I scrap, craft or sew. I have become addicted to quilting, and dream about quilt blocks now. I am still working on getting better at this art form. I believe that Creating things with your hands is a good outlet and keeps your mind alert, and has a way of helping one lose all the cares of the day and world, right in my own little studio. Therefore I will never become a digital scrapbooker. I think that those who do digital turn out some beautiful pieces of art and lovely layouts, but for me I need to cut and paste by hand!
