My latest matchbox sent out!

The theme for this matchbox swap was Vintage garden.  My partner was affected by  Hurricane Irene, and so I have not received mine yet, so will post that one later.  This is the vintage garden matchbox and contents, that I sent to her.
She said that she would not open hers until after she sent mine!  Boy, now that is self control.  When I swap a matchbox, I can't wait to open it and go through all the little goodies.  She stated that she doesn't want to feel like she needs to add more or that she added to much, based on mine.  Now that is swapping from the heart.  I can appreciate her for that!

I used a vintage garden image for the top, and the sides and back were vintage music sheets.
Inside I tucked these victorian vintage ephemera, some very very old, and some reproductions.

Inside this little jar went vintage buttons, pearls, trinkets, and flowers.
Can't wait to get mine from my partner Jeannie,  I hope all is well with all of my blogging friends who live on the east coast who might have been affected by the Hurricane!

Beautiful matchbox, Michele! So full of vintage loveliness!

And congratulations on that new beautiful granddaughter! Is that Julie Harward I saw in that photo? Is she your co-grandmother??? How funny!

Wishing you the most wonderful Sunday, my friend!

How sweet! Looks like she's gonna have a blast when she opens it. It will be exciting to see what she sends you, too. I'm glad she got to participate in spite of the hurricane, activities like swapping can bring so much joy.

Hugs,
Meri

Wow!! I have never heard of a matchbox swap let alone decorating a matchbox. Sweet and so pretty! Is this one of the bigger sized matchboxes that are available now?
Good work.

I'm the lucky one who received Michele's matchbox. Just like you thought I'm tickled with the contents and hope she likes mine! We are being inundated with rain after the hurricane, and we had an earthquake, too, so the last month on the East Coast (I'm in Maryland) have been trying to say the least.

Wow! That is awesome! Everything in the matchbox, including the box, is lovely!

It will be fun to see what Jeannie sends to you. Hope she's doing OK.
