swappin with A year of Enchantment.
I just completed a swap assignment for
Yarni gras or a "Year of Enchantment"
and the theme for May was Mermaids.
The rules are that the main ornament is
handmade. This is what I came up with.
Then I made some earrings fit for
a mermaid and put them on a look-a-like tag.
And a tiny little salt and pepper shacker on it's
tray.
I also added a tiny teacup from occupied
Japan, a set of three hand embroidered old
doilies, and a tag with some special lace wrapped around it.
I will look forward to getting my Mermaid package.
I love this swapping thing, it gives one something to look
forward to from the mail. And you get to meet new friends
with the same interests as yourself. Woo Hoo!

Oh Michele...... Just beautiful!
Ruth ;)
I love it! You are one creative lady!
Funny, I could tell by the wedding gowns you have to be LDS, sugar! Me, too. Darling blog. Come visit sometime, sweet chick.
xoxo,
Connie
Hi Michele I came by for the blog party and saw the mermaid ornament right away!!! That is really gorgeous. I love the way you used the gold beads also. Those micro beads are so awesome I use them also.
Since you like mermaids, perhaps you'd like to see the one I'm sharing for the party . . . she is a mechanical doll that dances in her own little theater.
I adore your package..the thought behind it really shows. The ornaments and earrings and tuck in are all lovely. Very creative!
