chicken wire magic

This is my new solution to the over crowded  refrigerator.  I inherited this frame from my mother.   I don't have chickens, but live out in a rural area.  We have an online-yardsale on facebook for our valley.  I put in there, that I needed a 3x3 piece of chicken wire  (I did not want to buy a 25 ft roll) and was willing to give up a couple of dollars, and bingo, someone got right back to me and said she would leave it out for me, free of charge.
I did spray the chicken wire white after I had it stretched and in place on the back!
I used an acrylic white paint with a glazing medium over that!  Love the detail!

    Love this Michelle! What a great frame. I did a chicken wire memo board once. I found the chicken wire, let's say, difficult to work with. I had to cut mine off a roll we had and it was a little bigger than the size you used here. My daughter took it for her house and it works great to hold small size pictures {that would otherwise wind up on the refrigerator}.

    Love it! Coincidently, I just finished making a similar chicken wire frame but added burlap behind the wire for extra panache. I just need to add a bit extra and then will blog about it. I love your idea of painting the wire white! Lovely.
