Something Special
I am a Mother of 8, grandmother of almost 27 wonderful little people. Married to a wonderful man for 38 years. I am a published scrapbooker, have decorated wedding cakes, made wedding dresses, had a wedding business, taught baton twirling lessons to girls for almost 40 years, and love to decorate my home inexpensively. I have always been a 'make-due' sort of person. I love dishes, teacups, teapots, and have to be creating something everyday. I love to listen to beautiful uplifting music and watch Masterpiece Theatre and Jane Austen movies while I scrap, craft or sew. I have become addicted to quilting, and dream about quilt blocks now. I am still working on getting better at this art form. I believe that Creating things with your hands is a good outlet and keeps your mind alert, and has a way of helping one lose all the cares of the day and world, right in my own little studio. Therefore I will never become a digital scrapbooker. I think that those who do digital turn out some beautiful pieces of art and lovely layouts, but for me I need to cut and paste by hand!
